Installation in Übercart

Payment module for Übercart

We’ve created a free payment module for Übercart, making it easy for you to accept payment cards in your online store.

Übercart is a free open source system for creating e-stores with the content management system Drupal.

It’s easy to get started. Download the module, and follow the 4 simple steps below – now you’re ready to accept online payments!

1. Create an ePay account

Before you can install ePay’s payment module, you need an ePay test account. A test account is free, and you can create your own in a few minutes. When you’ve set up your account, you’ll receive a test merchant number, which is used for creating test payments.

Create a free account

Please state that you want a test account in the comment field in step 2. You can disregard all prices.

Whenever you’re ready to accept real payments, we’ll upgrade your test account to a production account. This means you don’t have to create a new account from scratch.

2. Install ePay’s payment module in Drupal/Übercart

NB: Before installation you should make a backup of your website.

Download the module

Save the file to your hard drive, and unzip it.

Copy the contents to the folder modules in your Drupal/Übercart installation. No existing Drupal/Übercart files are overwritten.

Log in to your Drupal/Übercart administration, and choose Modules in the menu (please see image 1 below). Find and check the box by the ePay module (in Ubercart - Payment), and press ‘Save configuration’ at the bottom. If it asks if you want to install the module, click on ‘Continue’.

3. Activate the module in Übercart

The payment module is installed and ready to be activated.

Go to Store -> Configuration -> Payment methods. Press ‘Settings’ by the ePay module.

Enter your merchant number in the field “merchant number”. It’s either a test or a production merchant number. Press ‘Save configuration’ at the bottom.

4. Test the payment module

Now make a purchase in your shop.

Below is an example of ePay’s payment window. You can add your own logo at company information at the top of the window. Do this from your ePay administration in the menu Settings -> Payment window.

The customer chooses between the payment methods activated on your ePay account.

When the customer has completed the payment and closed the payment window, a confirmation page, which is defined in Drupal/Übercart, is shown.

The payment is completed. You’ve received the order information, and ePay’s received the card information.
